Craft Night and Fall Fun

First I must say how much we love our neighborhood.  We have made so many great friends, and they always have fun stuff going on.  My good friend Jen wanted to put together a craft night once a month.
Within two days she had it all set up.  I showed up and was amazed out how great things were put together so quickly.  She had tables all set to go with the craft ready and even food to eat.  Plus our kids could come as well.
These are the two crafts we made.  Candy Corns and an awseom witch sign.  I love them and so exctied for the next craft night!
This is another friend in our neighborhood Shellie and her two adorable kids.
Last week she invited a bunch of us to a halloween party at her house.  Tristan was a school, but Ashton had a blast.  They had set up a bounce house and tables for some kids crafts and food.
The kids decorated pumpkins, ate mummy hot dogs, and lots of candy.  What a fun day!
And it was so nice to get together with the ladies and just relax while the kids played.  Luckily the weather was good and the rain held off until everyone left.

THANKS Jen and Shellie for having us and putting together such fun times for all!

Salt to Saint

A couple weeks back Das was part of a bike relay team that was sponsored by his work. They rode from Salt Lake to St. George. 425 miles in all, 25 hours straight. Eight riders and each had three legs. Total for each rider was about 60 miles. Das said he had a lot of fun but lost feeling in his nether region for about a week. Lol. Here is a link to a video of their adventure.

BLING BLING PUMPKINS

So I am addicted to Pinterest.com.  I have found some really great things on there and I am enjoying trying some of them out.  I came across glitter pumpkins last week, and I couldn't wait to try them.  I searched several stores for the right glitter and pumpkins.  I finally found Martha Stewart Glitter.
I then purchased some small real pumpkins, and one cheap fake one.  I tried it out first on the fake one.
The first one is the far right pink one.  It turned out really cute.  I then realized it would be best to do fake pumpkins all together so that I could use them next year.  So I let the boys choose some glitter....my least favorite colors....and they glittered the real pumpkins.  The two blue ones in the picture.  I obviously touched them up, but they did a wonderful job overall for as long as they stayed entertained, which wasn't long.  If only I had a girl.;)
I then purchased a large real pumpkin and large fake one.  The real one I spray painted and then glittered a J for Jettie.  The fake one turned out the best.  I am really happy with them and still have lots of glitter left for next year.
Happy Fall Everyone!

Baby Motzart....Logan

Logan has shown lots of interest in playing the piano as well.

The Sound of Music

So Saturday after the estate sale, Das picked up a trailor to bring home the piano.  For as beat up and old as it is, it is not to out of key.
Now all I need to do is find a bench, and paint it.  Any one have suggestions on the color I should do?
The boys have loved it.  We have had to put time limits on it, cuz they are always "making up" new songs.  Sometimes its a little to much to handle.  But I am so excited to have them start taking lessons and even more excited that they are excited.  I will have to pick up all my sheet music from my moms and start playing again as well.

Fiesta Con Amigos

It was that time again.  Dinner club with our friends.  This month was Frank and Joanna's turn to host.  They just bought a beautiful home in Holladay.....errr...I mean East Millcreek?  Is that better Frank?*Comment he left.  But for the record....I'm not sure that it really matters. lol
We got a sitter for Tristan and Ashton, but took Logan with us.
Everyone was able to make it.  The food was delicious and company was wonderful as usual.   I need those recipes!
It was being hosted during the Utah/BYU game, so they were sure to have the tv on so we could watch.  Das and I had it recorded at home though just in case.
After everyone filled their bellies, we moved into the family room for a good game of Werewolves.  I am sure it is a fun game, but we weren't able to stay to find out.  It seems we are always a half hour later coming home then we tell our sitter we will be.
Logan sat o Kelly's lap during the whole game.  And then he fell asleep in her arms.
We had a fantastic time!  Thanks Pedrozza's for having us in your lovely home.  Looking forward to the next dinner club.

Utah vs. BY Who? Go UTES

I text my nephew Taylor Friday night and asked him if he wanted to help me paint the U sign on my front lawn with spray paint.  He was down for it.
So Saturday afternoon he and his girlfriend Paige pulled up at my house already sporting Ute flags from his car.  I pulled out the spray paint and he got to work.  All though I hadn't bought nearly enough, so we had to make a trip to the store.

After he did his outline, Paige and I helped him fill it in.  I believe it took around 12 cans of spray paint.  So worth it though.  We will definitely be doing it again next year.

Das was just getting home from his bike ride and had to take a shower for our night out.  I took the boys out for some pics in their Utah gear.  Some neighbors came out showing their love for our sign, while others wanted to grab their mowers.  I love the fun little wars between the neighbors.  Maybe next year BYU fans.

Das went out after the game with the left over spray paint and marked the score.
