The M&M wedding

Yesterday my nephew Micheal got married in the Draper Temple.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the sealing but Das was.  I heard it was beautiful.  Das had to get back to work, so I attended the luncheon alone.
The luncheon was held at Willow Creek Country Club.  My sister Lynette and her husband put these beautiful flower arrangements together.  The wood they cut from a tree up at our cabin.
After we ate, a few people stood up to share some memories.  And then my favorite part happened.  Mike's 4 brothers and his only sister stood up and sang them a song.  We also watched an adorable video with pictures of Mike and Megan put together with an interview of how they met/first date/first kiss.  It was so cute and funny.  I had no idea my nephew was so funny.
Then my next favorite part was Mike singing to Megan.  I don't know if it was the hormones or what, but I was in tears.  It was so great.  It brought back memories of my own wedding and the love Das and I have for each other.  I am so happy that Mike has found that kind of love.  We are so excited for Megan to be part of our family.  She is perfect for Mike and we absolutely adore her as well.

Kindergarten Graduate

This Tiger just graduated the kindergarten.  He has really loved every minute of it, and is so excited to start 1st grade.  He loves to read and learn new things.  And he get so bored when Tristan is at school.

Friday his class put on a darling program for the parents.  Das and I headed over with Logan and the baby to watch him get his dolphin award.  We walked around the room to the zoo they had set up.  Each child was a different animal and when you pushed their button, they told you several facts about the animal they were dressed up as.  Then they sang and handed out their diplomas.
We are so proud of him!  He is growing up so fast.  Congratulations Big Guy!

Our #1 DAD

This past week we celebrated the birthday and Fathers Day of the most amazing man(besides my father) in the world.  We just adore him and are so lucky to have him in our lives.  I couldn't have asked for a better a husband and father.  I hope he enjoyed his week of pampering.
Tuesday I sent him a treat from edible bouquets to his work.  He was nice enough to bring it home and share with us.  That night we grilled some steaks and veggies for his bday dinner.  The boys and I bought him some Perry Top sliders.  He loved them.
Fathers Day we skipped church just to be safe in case I had a baby.  We made french toast and and got ready for the pool.  But not before Das challenged the boys to some pull ups on a bar my brother in law gave him.  Ashton was the champion.  Tristan wasn't to happy about that one.
We then enjoyed a few hours and lunch poolside.  Where we both got way to much sun.  But it was a beautiful day.

We later headed into my parents for taco salad and my dads famous ice cream. We got Das some golf shirts, flip flops, and a grill mate cleaner.
I am so blessed to have this man as my father.  Through out my life he has been such a great example and provider.  To have raised 8 children and to still be going strong is so amazing to me.  And my children are so lucky to have him as their grandpa.  Love you Dad!
And I married a man that is so much like my father.  He is slow to anger, loving, hardworking, priesthood holder, patient, giving, and so much more.  I often wonder why I got so lucky.
And Last, I can't leave out PETE!  RIP!  He was such a great man and he is missed terribly.  His bday would have been this last week also.  Thanks to all the wonderful fathers in my life.  Hope you all had a great day!

Ashton turns 6!!!!

Ashton's best friend Eli is just 1 day older then Ashton.  Liz(Eli's mom) and I decided it would be a good idea to do a joint bday party for them since they have pretty much the same friends.

It turned out perfectly.  Liz set up everything at her house in her neat backyard.  Eli wanted to play some water kickball, and the kids had a blast with it.

Ashton sliding into home base.

Then after kickball, Liz brought out a bunch of white t-shirts for the kids.  I had bought a bunch of squirters at the dollar store.  Liz filled up four different buckets with water and added food coloring to them.  The boys were drenched!
About the time they were finishing up soaking each other, the wind started to pick up.  So instead of making snow cones like planned, Liz brought out hot chocolate.

We moved inside about the same time Das showed up with pizzas and ice cream.  After they ate, we lit the candles on the cake that Liz made.(Liz did so much!  I am so thankful for her and helping out at this time in my pregnancy.)
It was then gift time!  They got some awesome gifts.  Thank you everyone for coming to Ashton and Eli's birthday party.
I still can't believe it has been six years since Ashton came into my life.  He has been such a pleasant child from day 1.  I wish they didn't grow up so fast.  It really feels like yesterday when they handed him to me.  I am so blessed to have him and thank my Heavenly Father every day for letting me be his mother.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG GUY!
WE LOVE YOU!

Willow Creek Country Club

Ashton is out of school for a week for testing.  So Friday I took Tristan out of school, and Keli and I met up with a few of my sisters at Willow Creek for some sun.

We all had a really great time.  And it will sadly be the last time I will be able to go out there for a while.  But I am glad I got a nice tan before I deliver this baby in a week.
We love summer!

Dinner Club Texas Style

Saturday night we headed to the Johannessen's for a fun dinner club night.  We always look forward to these night with our friends.  Joe had some tasty ribs and BBQ chicken on the grill.  And Kelly had prepared some great side dishes.  It was perfect weather for the night.  But since Das and I had already had a sitter the night before, we weren't able to stay as late as we would have liked.  And of course the later in the night it gets, the more tired and uncomfortable I get.  But we did manage to get a couple of games of Texas Testicle Toss. lol  Thanks Joe and Kelly for having us all over.  We really enjoyed seeing everyone.

I'm pretty spoiled!

I had my 29th birthday last Tuesday.  Unfortunately, I was in bed all day with the flu.  We had plans to go see a movie, but canceled.  I laid in bed and Das took care of me.  The next day I was feeling a bit better, so Das asked me if I was ready for my cake and ice cream.  Of course I was!  He and the boys sang happy birthday to me, and we dug in.  He then gave me my present which is just what I had been wanting.  A stylish Chicago Bears jersey.  Now I just need to lose some weight before football season starts.
Then on Friday, Das took me out.  He had previously lined up Keli to watch the boys, but it didn't work out with her new job.  So my nephew Taylor and his wife Paige took the boys.  We headed downtown to Gateway to eat and go see Avengers.  Thought the movie was great!  But I was so irritated with the kid behind me kicking my not comfortable seat the whole time.  But it was definitely a go see movie.  Then we went to check into our hotel at the Marriot.  We climbed into bed and ate our little treats we purchased and I fell asleep.  Tried to at least.  But it was really nice to have a night with just Das and I.  He must really love me to go to all that work of making my birthday spectacular.  Thanks babe!
