Cabin!

Growing up every year over the 4th we would attend the Oakley Rodeo.  And many of my siblings have kept the tradition.  Das and I are going to start taking the boys each year.

Rodeo or not, the cabin is the place to be during the 4th of July weekend.
So Das and I headed up for the day on Saturday.  It was a little rainy, but the boys were still able to go for a few four wheeler rides.

After dinner, everyone got their rodeo gear on to head out.
Jordan is a huge Johnny Cash fan like Das.  He insists on calling Dallon-Little Johnny Cash.  Cracks me up.
I think I need to buy Das a cowboy hat.  I think he looks sexy.

This is Tristan pouting cuz he wanted to go to the rodeo.  So sad.  Next year buddy, I promise.  We love spending time with everyone at the cabin.  So thankful for my parents who share it with us.  I have so many memories growing up at the cabin and looking forward to my boys making many memories of their own up there.

Let Freedom Ring!

We had a very chill 4th of July.  Das had purchased some fireworks and the kids started early in the evening lighting them off with the neighbor kids.

And after we grilled some burgers and hot dogs, we headed outside for the big guns.

I love living in a culdesac with such wonderful neighbors.

Logan loves to be out front.  And the neighbor kids are all so cute with him.

After fireworks, Das and I headed inside while Tristan and Ashton continued to terrorize the neighborhood.

I feel so blessed to live in such a wonderful country and to raise my beautiful boys here.  Little Dallon did so well during the fireworks.  I can't believe he is 3 weeks already.

We are so grateful for those who sacrifice their lives for us so that we may be free.  I am proud to be and American!

Summer Fun!

Last weekend Kevin and Leesa invited us over for a BBQ.  Das smoked some salmon to take over that was delicious.  Everyone brought yummy stuff.  The kids had a blast in their backyard chasing the chickens.  Logan was walking around talking to them and petting them.  Ellie got brave and kept picking them up.  And they even sent us home with some eggs.

The kids played really well together while us adults chatted.  We had a really great time.  Thanks for having us!

The Reception

The reception was held in my parents backyard.  It was the most beautiful wedding I have attended.  And even the prettiest of the wedding that have been held in their backyard.
Me and Das's were suppose to have our reception in the backyard, but it rained that day so we moved it inside.  They had this neat table set up with different flavored suckers in each jar.
The food was delicious and so unique.  Megan is from Idaho, and her parents own a potato farm.  So they had a potato bar set up along with fruit, salad, and differnt kinds of bread and cheeses.

Everyone was of course fighting over Dallon.  He slept through the whole thing.

They had a dance floor set up on the basketball court.  Lynette started off the dancing with her oldest son Mike and Megan with her dad.  So sweet!
 They've got some moves!
Proud papa snuggling his son while his other three ran around wild. If it wasn't at my parents house, we would not have let them go wild.

They lit sparklers to send the happy couple on there way.  Logan had fun with his.  He kept saying "hot" and tried to blow it out. He's so smart!

Getting ready to leave.  Logan was ready to get out of there.  It really was a perfect night.  Congrats Mike and Megan!

The M&M wedding

Yesterday my nephew Micheal got married in the Draper Temple.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the sealing but Das was.  I heard it was beautiful.  Das had to get back to work, so I attended the luncheon alone.
The luncheon was held at Willow Creek Country Club.  My sister Lynette and her husband put these beautiful flower arrangements together.  The wood they cut from a tree up at our cabin.
After we ate, a few people stood up to share some memories.  And then my favorite part happened.  Mike's 4 brothers and his only sister stood up and sang them a song.  We also watched an adorable video with pictures of Mike and Megan put together with an interview of how they met/first date/first kiss.  It was so cute and funny.  I had no idea my nephew was so funny.
Then my next favorite part was Mike singing to Megan.  I don't know if it was the hormones or what, but I was in tears.  It was so great.  It brought back memories of my own wedding and the love Das and I have for each other.  I am so happy that Mike has found that kind of love.  We are so excited for Megan to be part of our family.  She is perfect for Mike and we absolutely adore her as well.

Kindergarten Graduate

This Tiger just graduated the kindergarten.  He has really loved every minute of it, and is so excited to start 1st grade.  He loves to read and learn new things.  And he get so bored when Tristan is at school.

Friday his class put on a darling program for the parents.  Das and I headed over with Logan and the baby to watch him get his dolphin award.  We walked around the room to the zoo they had set up.  Each child was a different animal and when you pushed their button, they told you several facts about the animal they were dressed up as.  Then they sang and handed out their diplomas.
We are so proud of him!  He is growing up so fast.  Congratulations Big Guy!
