All dolled up....and lots to do

Early Saturday morning emptied Suey and headed to the airport to Las Vegas.

We left the 3 oldest boys with my nephew David and gf Tara and left Dallon with my sister Christine.  It was hardest to leave Dallon (first time) but we were excited for a little break.

Flight was quick and before we knew it, we were on the train to baggage claim and our rental car.

Das's friend Dann and his girlfriend Angie were nice enough to join us. They came up from Phoenix. They ended up getting a room right below us at the Trump Towers. Nicest room we've stayed at (yet) on the strip.
Angie was a complete sweetheart and offered to apply my makeup while Das and Dann caught up. I also enjoyed getting to know her. I hope Dann doesn't let her go. As much as I'm glad they were there to join us, I loved sharing a few special moments with my hubby. I love we have the opportunity to take these trips.
This collage was brought to you by
Das's stache.
Officer Liddle was riding shotgun on the way to Bellagio. Angie and I must have been in the back seat gossiping about him. Oops!
Another priceless look from the night taken by Angie interpreting that Das and Dann had had enough "guy time" and "catching up."
We hit Bellagio and several other casinos. Wherever the tables and slots were hot! Dann and Angie were great to hang out with.
A great first night to our trip!

Salt To Saint

A few weekends ago Das participated in the Salt To Saint. He had a great time last year, so he wanted
To go again this year. And being the awesome wife that I am...I let him go. Ha ha!  But really I was glad he went.  I love that  he enjoys being active.  He is my motivation to lose my baby weight.  And I love that he is healthy.  This year Xactware provided them with some pretty sweet outfits.  They took off Friday morning and got home Saturday evening.  Das had 3 legs.  His 2nd leg was around 3 in the morning.  He sent a text that it was freezing but very peaceful.  His 3rd leg was around sunrise and he got to ride past Sand Hollow.  I am glad he got to participate again.  We are sure proud of him.

Almas bday

Sunday we headed over to Mirabai's for dinner to celebrate Alma's bday.  It is always so nice to catch up with everyone.  Happy Birthday Alma!

Dinner Club

Dinner club was hosted by Kristy and Jeff last weekend.  And all I can say about it....GREAT FOOD and FRIENDS! Thanks so much for having us!

Off Track

The boys went off track last week.  I have mixed feelings about year round school.  I love that its like a mini break for them.  But they get bored at home and drive me crazy.  Especially when I have so many things to get done through out the day.  Logan definitely likes having them home.  And its nice to not have  a ton of homework to help them with every day.  Ashton has been keeping busy with soccer.  He has practice once a week, and a game on Saturdays.  He loves it and is really good.  His coach this year signed them up with older kids to get more of a challenge.  And they have won almost all their games.
Tristan started piano a few weeks ago and is also loving it.  He comes home every day and practices.  I hope he sticks to it longer then Das or I did.

Logan usually showers with me, or with the boys.  So when we stuck him in our huge tub, he was in heaven.  Such a fun little guy.
Dallon changes so much each day.  He sure loves when his brothers are home as well.  He especially loves Logan to play with him.  They have their own sweet little connection.  And I find Logan giving him kisses and hugs when he thinks no one is looking.
Dallon has never taken a Binky.  But he has always worked on getting his thumb in his mouth.  On occasion...he succeeds.  My life if full of love and laughter.  I am truely blessed.  I sure love these boys of mine!

Another year. . . same result

It was the week of the big rivalry between BYU and Utah and the blue and red was out. In our neighorhood circle there was far more blue than red so we needed to show our Utah spirit. Sue went to the store to grab some spray paint and we painted a Ute logo on our grass.

Sue actually did this last year too with her nephew Taylor. It brought us good luck then so we thought we would give it another try. Turns out it works.

The finished product. I won't be mowing my lawn again for awhile.

Utah man sir, Utah man am I!

Sue didn't have any Utah gear so I bought her a hat and shirt. Logan liked the hat more than she did.

This year I was fortunate enough to go to the game. My loving wife asked her dad for a couple of their season tix. Thanks Dave! I invited my buddy Steve and we headed up early to do a little tailgating. His aunt had put together a tasty dish of pulled pork and slaw sandwiches.

My hopes weren't too high after seeing the Utes lose the week before but as we headed into the stadium there was this great energy and enthusiasm. The Utes played great and in the end (the third time) they pulled out a W. Go UTES!

Just a RANDOM!

Last weekend Das and I wanted to get out.  But since there weren't any movies we wanted to see, we were able to get out on the bike.  It has been over two years for me since last summer it wasn't up and running.  It felt great!  We drove around for about and hour and stopped at a park to sit for a bit.  I can't wait for another chance to get out before the weather gets too cold.
Das picked a couple of tomotoes from our garden and handed one to Logan to give to me.  He came in eating it like an apple, and devoured the whole thing. He loves tomatoes!

Last week we had our carpets cleaned.  Afterwards I pulled the drawer out on our coffee table, and found the cat hiding.  Silly kitty!
So last month the boys were throwing rocks on the roof when one accidently made it through the window.  Then last Sunday we heard a large crash.  The boys were all inside, so we ran out to see what it was.  The neighbor boys hit a golf ball across the fence into the same window.  Now that is random!

The other night the boys made popcorn and watched the movie Das had brought them home from The Redbox.  Logan follows these two around every where.  I sure love all these little things in my life.
