Playing house

Today I took my friends two little girls for the day.  This is as close as I will probably get to having girls of my own.  And these two would be perfect.  They were such angels!

For a little while they ran through the sprinklers and played outside.

Kenziee and Charlie were very polite and sweet.

This is Charlie.  She has the prettiest blue eyes.  I wonder if our little boy will have blue eyes?

They all have become the best of friends.  We are so excited to be making such great friends in our new neighborhood.  Tristan and Kenziee are in the same primary class, and will both be starting kindergarten this year.  As much as I enjoyed the girls today, I am thankful for boys!  Das, Tristan, and Ashton bring so much joy to my life.  I am thankful for a husband that loves and respects me and who works hard everyday to become a better husband and father.  I am also thankful for the priesthood that he holds and for the blessings it has brought to our family.  And hopefully if we get the ok from my ex....than the boys will be sealed to us next month.  I am in awe everyday by Tristan and Ashton and their willingness to learn.  They are such sweet and loving boys.  I must have done something right to have such a wonderful family.  Family is so important and I am lucky to have the best!

Cowabunga Bay Baby!!!

Das had the day off work Monday.  We had purchased tickets on citydeals.com for Cowabunga passes.  The boys have been wanting to check it out for so long.  It was a really fun park...but something we will probably only do once a year.

We liked that most of the rides we could ride double with the boys.  Ashton wasn't tall enough to ride alone, but Tristan was.  He did a few on his own, but didn't go very fast.

It wasn't very busy and the lines were pretty short.  The only bad thing was the wind.

They have a huge bucket that drops a ton of water every few minutes. 

Das put both the boys on his sholders and stood underneath it.

Tristan didn't like it.....but Ashton loved it. lol

It was a really great day!  Glad Das was home for a couple of weeks.  I am grateful for every minute I get to spend time with my boys.  I am so excited to have another one!

4th of July weekend

We had a really great night celebrating the 4th with our neighbors the Creasey's.  It was a little bit chillie but as you can see....Tristan and Ashton love to be naked.

We bought a bunch of firework and let the kids have at it.

Afterward we headed over to the temple to watch the valley fireworks.  What a great view we had.  And this is the view of the temple from our front and back yard.  Check out that sunset!

We hope you all had a wonderful 4th!  We sure did!

Summer fun and swim lessons..............

The boys started swim lesson this week.  Ambur signed her kids up as well over at Riverton Pool.

They all did such a good job, and the teacher were really fun with them.  They played lots of games while the teacher was working with someone else.

They were all swimming quite well by the end of the lesson.

We also bought a summer pass and have been staying out after lessons for open plunge.  The boys are getting so dark.  The pool is also very nice and clean.  I might sign them up for one more week of lessons.  And will definitely be doing it next year as well.

New York New York!

I had the opportunity to travel with Das to New York a couple of weeks ago.  I have always wanted to go.  This trip was so much different than our beach trips....for obvious reason.  It was really neat to see everything.  But after all the walking we did, I was hurting.

We spent our first day mostly in Central Park.  So much going on, and so much to see.  The weather was also really nice.

So many beautiful spots and so little time to get through it all.

So we rented a tantum for a couple of hours.  I grew up riding on of these, but this was Das's first time.  He did a great job.  To bad he didn't ride the bull later as well as he rode this. lol

Walking across Brooklyn Bridge.  I am truely blessed to be able to travel with my husband.  We have such a great time together and looking forward to many more trips.  I'd like to take the kids to DisneyLand.  Not sure if I will still be going to London with him.  An 18 hour flight being 6 months pregnant doesn't sound to appealing to me.  But any chance I get to be with my hunsband is worth all of it.

To my dad who gave me life.  Thank you for teaching me right from wrong and always being there no matter what.  I love you!

And thank you for raising a large family without any complaints.  And still growing!

To my father in law, We love you and miss you very much!  Thank you for all you did and for the wonderful man you were.

And last but not least, to my loving husband.  You are such an amazing man.  I am amazed each day of all you do and have done.  You have incredible patience and love.  I am so glad the boys have such a great example in their lives.

Man VS. Food

Das and I a few weeks before we left for New York were watching Man vs. Food. This guy does some of the most challening food stuff. This episode just happened to be in New York. So we wrote them done to make sure we tried them out. The first one we tried was an Indian restaraunt. They make the hottest dish ever with 5-7 different kinds of chilies. Of course Das has to take the challenge of eating it.

                          
He started out by mixing a ton of rice with the curry dish. I swear he mixed it around for ever before taking his first bite. He even said he was nervous. But then we saw a fifteen year old sitting next to us pass the challenge. Our waiter told us that only abou 10% actually end up finishing it.

                          

Well he was definitely hurting only after a few bites.  I couldn't help snatch all these pictures to document it.  I didn't think he was gonna make it.

  But he did it!  He kept  on going and going, and he finished!
And of course he couldn't except the free beer, but he got a mangolasi instead to sooth his mouth.  I just wish he had something to smooth the other end later on. hehe
