Logan is 6 months....ALREADY!!!

I may be a little biased, but I have the cuttest boys in the world!  We took Logan to his 6 month checkup, and everything looks great.  He just keeps getting fatter ad fatter.  I love it! This is him watching tv with dad.  He is so alert and takes in everything around him.
Cuddles up with daddy.  He loves to fall asleep on us.  He is such a good sleeper.  And we just recently put him in his own room in the crib.  So far he has done wonderfully.  Better than I expected.
The doctor said to start him on finger foods.  I bought these apple wheels that he loves.  I love to watch him eat them.  He will hold them up right in front of his eyes, making him go cross eyed, and then shove it in his mouth.
Today i left him for a sec and came back to this.  He couldn't quite figure out what was going on and how to get it off. lol  The doctor said he should be crawling in the next month....but I am not planning on it.  Ashton didn't start crawling until he was 8 months.  One, because he was so fat...and Two, because someone was always holding him.  I expect the same to happen with Logan.  He also loves his big brothers.  They can make him laugh any time.  He smiles just when the walk through the door.  Love my cute boys!

Ashton is 5!!!

Today is Aston's Birthday.  I can't believe how fast my boys are growing up! We already took him to Disney Land for his bday, but I still wanted to throw him a little party.
So we invited a few of his neighborhood friends over as well as his cousin triplets.  I'm not sure who was more excited....him or Tristan. lol
I picked up a few pizza's and prayed for good weather.  Grandma and Grandpa Weidner had bought him a slip n' slide that we set up for everyone.
But the clouds came rolling in.  So they all just ran around upstairs for a while until I made them sno cones.  Then the sun came out for just a brief moment.  So we went outside to freeze.
The slip n' slide looked like a lot of fun.  If the wind wasn't blowing, I think they all would have stayed out longer.  But it was blowing the slide up, and the water in the wrong direction.
But they all got a few good runs in.
After they dried off, we headed back inside to open presents.  Thank you to JD, Paxton, and Will for the pillowpet, ironman, and squirter.
Thank you Eli for the spider man puzzle and toy.  And thanks to Dillon for the airplane glider.  Ashton loved all of his gifts.  Das and I also got him Pirates of the Carrabean WII game and Ethan got them the Rango DS game
I can't believe he will be in kindergarten this year.  He  had his preschool gradutation a few weeks ago at a bouncy house.  They put on a cute performance and gave them caps and diplomas.  Then they got to run around and play for a couple of hours.  He made some great friends this year in preschool and they will luckily be in his kindergarten class.  His teachers were also amazing!  I can't wait to see what this next year hold for Ashton.  He is my sweatheart and we love him so much.  His energy is contagious, and exhausting.;)  And his love for his brothers is priceless.
Happy Birthday Big Boy!

Together Forever!

Today was a special day for the Jettie's.  We were sealed together in the Oquirrh Temple for time and eternity to each other, and our beautiful boys.  The day was absolutely perfect!
I am the baby of eight siblings, and I was so proud to have each of them their for this special day. And also to have Das's family there as well. It was such a busy week and I thank each of them for all of their help.  Special thanks to Allison for helping me find the perfect dress and coming to help clean our house.  And to Lynette for helping clean also and get my yard ready.
And an extra special thanks to my parents for all that they have done for us.

It was so neat to be sealed to Das, and then to have our precious boys join us all dressed in white.  I am so happy to have each of them in my life and it comforts me to know that we will be together forever.  After the sealing, we headed to our house for a small luncheon.  My parents catered it for us.  And a few family members brought dessert.  Thank you all so much!  The weather was perfect as well.

Another thanks to our neighbors the Dixon's, Richardson's, and Jensen's for lending us tents, tables and chairs.

Thank you everyone for sharing this special day with us and making it memorable.  We love you all and are blessed to have each and everyone of you in our lives.  Family is so important to us and we are forever grateful to have such great ones!

Memorial Weekend Campout.

So our wonderful neighbors have been going camping over Memorial weekend every year for a long time.  We feel so lucky to be included in their activities.  It has been so much fun getting to know each of them. You can't tell in the picture above, but there are about 10 campers all in a circle.  They give out food assignments and clean up duty.  They also bring up a projector to watch movies.  Everyone had their dogs and bikes.  So much fun to live in a neighborhood like ours.
Despite the crummy weather, everyone was having a great time.  And the children didn't let the rain stop them from having fun.  This is the Case's pop up trailer.  It was nice and warm.  Das and I would like to eventually buy one of these.
Melissa and me.
It was Will Richardsons birthday.  His mom(Lorilee) passed around a card for all of us to sign.  Then we collected at the pavillion to sing him happy birthday.
Richardson family
Das had promised the boys they could roast marshmallows.  So in between the rain, he started a fire.

We were planning on bringing our tent and camping out but it was to cold for Logan.  But next year we hope to have a trailer and to stay the whole weekend.
Sunday morning we had to teach primary anyway.  At church all of our neighbors were there and said they all came home Saturday night due to the rain.  They all got together at the Hansens next door to us for dinner.  They invited us, but Das had planned a special dinner for me for my birthday.  It was very tasty!  Thanks sweetie!

In Memory of Pete!

Ralph Frank Jettie(Pete)
Born June 16, 1942
Died August 29, 2009
Most of us look at Memorial day as just another holiday.  I look at it as a day Das gets to stay home and spend some time with us.  But today I would like to reflect on the moments I got to spend with my father in law.  Pete was such a wonderful man and he is missed dearly.  He loved his family and his country.  We know he is up in heaven watching over us.  And it comforts me to know that we will see him again some day.  We love you Pita!

Das. . Sue. . and U2

A LONG LONG
TIME AGO.....
DAS AND SUZANNE
WERE BORN.

Last year Das and I learned U2 was coming in concert around our birthdays.  I had already seen them in concert when he was on his mission.....but that was many years ago, so I wanted to see them again and Das really wanted to see them.  I have only seen two bands in concert more than once, and they have both been with Das.  Blue October, and now U2. I wouldn't have it any other way.  Das and I decided that we would buy tickets for our birthday presents last year. Unfortunately, Bono had to have back surgery and they canceled the concert.  We patiently waited for them to reschedule, and when they did, we were pleased to know that we would be able to attend. . . and it would still be around our birthdays!  We are just beginning to get comfortable leaving Logan for longer than an hour with the neighbors.  So we planned for our neighbor, Melissa (Miss South Jordan) :) to come sit with the boys.  It turned out we had pretty good seats.  Really close to the stage just a few rows up.  Their stage was spectacular and the show was unbelievable. Great sound, great light show and all their great songs. So glad that we went!

Our last day in California we drove to Newport Beach.  This time we brought the stroller to make our lives a little easier.  Again, Logan was so happy and content.  He loves his binky.  One point on this trip he was a little fussy, and we couldn't find the binky any where.  We hadn't moved from our spot so we knew it had to be some where.  After searching a bit......I looked down and it had fallen down my shirt right into a perfect spot. lol

I sat and watched these waves get bigger and bigger.  I couldn't stop oohing and aahing at them.  But I was worried about all these boys getting swallowed up.  Das several times went in an I was afraid he wouldn't come back out.  One time these 8 foot waves swept him down half a mile from us.  That was his last time going in.

I had a pedicure done a few days before we left.  Gotta have cute feet at the beach.

What a wonderful trip we had!  We stayed one more night in LA and drove to St. George the next day.  My parents were at their condo and wanted to take us to dinner, but we got there too late.  We stopped in Mesquite and Das dropped me off at the casino to play while he took the kids to Del Taco.  $90 in one hour...not to shabby.=)  So my parents us to breakfast instead.  The boys love their grandparents so much.  They didn't want to leave.  But we got on the road right after and got home at a decent hour.  It's been hard getting back into the swing of things.  Load after load of laundry and grocery shopping.  And on top of all that, we had a busy busy week planned, and even a busier Memorial weekend, and week following.  I am surprised I have had time to blog. lol  It gives me time to reflect on the good times and to not stress about what has to get done next.  But first things first......Ashtons graduation blog.=)
