Better Late Than Never....SNOW!

We knew it was suppose to snow over the weekend.  And usually I wouldn't hope for snow, but Das wanted to take the boys out sledding on Monday, so this weekend was an exception.
We bundled the kids up and headed to a park in Sandy.  But when we got there, the hill had been worn down to the grass, so we didn't stop.  Instead we had passed a hill at Jordan high school that we went back to and no one was there.
But when we got everyone out of the car...we wanted to jump back in.  The wind was so bad and we froze.  Logan did not like it one bit!

So our 3rd choice was to head into Holladay to Church Hill Junior High.  And it was perfect.  Not a lot of people sledding and there were big and small hills.

The boys had a great time!  And I took so many pictures, that I couldn't fit them all on here.

My friend Amy met up with us with her little girl Adyson.  She and Logan are so cute together.  Logan could barely move with his snow suit on, so he just sat on the sled and watched.

Das took Logan down a few times and he didn't really know what to think.  But he was smiling.

There was a small jump that Das and the boys went off of.  Das tried it twice and crashed both times.  His old body was hurting afterwards.
We stayed for an hour or so.  Amy's mom came up to join us for a bit.  I am glad we got a chance to get some sledding in this year.  Now the snow can go away!

A relaxing Presidents Day weekend

We had plans to head out of town over Presidents Day, but changed our minds at the last minute.  I was worried we weren't over the flu quite yet, and didn't want to be traveling with sick kids.  And we have several trips planned in the next couple of months.  So we decided to just relax and enjoy the downtime.

Saturday the weather was pretty decent, so Das took the boys outside to play some sports.  Tristan didn't stay out very long.  But as soon as Logan woke up from his nap, he wanted to be in on the action.

Ashton is showing an interest in every sport we throw at him.  He will be doing one more year of soccer with his cousins, and then this fall he will join a group of boys in our neighborhood.
Tristan doesn't show as much interest, but he is excited to play flag football with his friend Connor this Spring.  And then he'll get to play tackle football this Fall.

We are definitely looking forward to warmer weather hopefully in the near near future!  But until then....St. George is sounding very nice.

MEMORIES

It was this time 4 years ago.  February 17th.  It was my good friend Amy's bday.  Amy wanted to get a group of her friends together to celebrate.  Das and I had been hanging out a little and decided we would be each others date for her party.  "Our First Date!"  I remember Das coming to pick me up and sitting on the couch with Tristan while I finished getting ready.  As I walked in the room, Tristan turned to Das and said,"Das, I love you!"  I will never forget that moment.  My heart melted and I thought...I love you too, Das!  I knew I was going to marry this man.

We had such a great night with some of our closest friends.  We went out to dinner at a fancy restaurant, and dancing afterwards.
That night I met my soul mate, my best friend.  I couldn't ask for a better life.  I have been so lucky.

It is crazy how much has changed since that night.  Last night I got together again for my friend Amy's b-day with another good friend Sharon.  Sharon and I left our kids at home with our hubbys, but Amy brought her little girl Addyson.  She is such a doll.  So happy for good friendships that last through so much.  Friends who stick by you and want what is best for you.  Friends that do not judge for mistakes.  And who lift you up when you fall.  Friends like these are very rare.  I'm glad I have them.  Thanks Amy for letting us share in your B-day.

NO GOOD FLU!!!

Last week as I was doing a haircute, Ashton was laying on the couch complaining his tummy hurt.  I didn't think to much about it unfortunately until he threw up all over my couch.  I finished the cut, cleaned up the mess, got him in his pjs and plopped him back on the couch with his blankets and a throw up bowl.  He was throwing up every 20 to 25 minutes for about 5  hours.  Then he finally fell asleep.  I was worried he was going to be throwing up all night long.  But he didn't and felt fine the next day.  But then Sunday night around 3AM, Logan(who was obviously in our bed sleeping) starting throwing up.  I laid some blankets down for him and around 8 o'clock, he threw up his last time.  It was a long night.  But he would fall right back asleep after he finished vomitting.  And after the 3rd time, he was just dry heaving.  Then Monday Tristan said he didn't feel good so I kept him home from school.  He was faking it.  But Das came home from work early with it.  Das doesn't throw up....so you can guess where his was coming from.  A couple of days later(Valentines night) I climbed into bed early not feeling so hot.  I started vomitting and it didn't stop until 3AM.  I don't know why it hit me worse then anyone else?  And it sucks being pregnant on top of it.  But these pics are the after math of my vomitting so hard. Yuck! Hopefully we won't see the flu bug in our house again anytime soon!!!

He's My Baby!

We have had the pleasure of Aunt Keli coming over a few times last week.  We really enjoy her company.  But I won't take her with me to the store anymore.  As we were checking out our groceries, Keli picked up Logan out of the basket.  The checker lady asked if I was shopping with my cute grand baby today.  I looked at her a little confused.  I mean....could she not notice the my prego belly poking out?!  And Keli doesn't look a day over 16.  And honestly!!!  I don't look old enough to be a grandma. LOL  I am sure she felt stupid after I told her the cute little boy was actually mine.
These pictures were taken the other morning after Logan had gotten over the flu.  Das and I hadn't rolled out of bed yet, and he was just kickin it with us playing with Das's iPhone.
I know each of these shots look almost exactly alike.
But what was going on in between each shot it what makes them each so cute and special.
After the flash went off, Logan would stop smiling, and look back down at the phone.  And as soon as he saw the iPhone start to flash, he would quickly look up with a big grin cuz he knew we were taking his picture.

I love this little boy of mine!!!

I HEART YOU!

I found these cute cards on Pin terest.  And they really did turn out so cute!  My sister Amy helped me with the border using her photo shop.  And my sister in law Keli helped me stick the suckers in.

I thought they had the cutest cards out of their whole class.  I may do it for them again next year.  They weren't to expensive to do either.
Of course Das still got me a Valentines present all though I tell him not to.  I have been wanting a juicer for a long time.  So he bought one for me.  I've already bought some carrots and apple to start out with.  And I bought Das and I cooking class at Heritage Gardens.  We love to cook together, and always thought that would be a fun date night.  I'm excited to use it.  As for the actual day of Valentines, it was a pretty regular day.  I cooked up a yummy dinner of honey garlic pork chops(pinterest), mashed potatoes, and green beans.  Das had brought us home a some pastries he had picked up.  Unfortunately, I started feeling sick after dinner and spent the rest of the night and morning leaning over the toilet.  The flu bug had finally caught up to me.  We Love you all and hope your Valentines was filled with lots of chocolates and LOVE!

Journey Two 3D

We took the boys to go see Journey in 3D over the weekend.  We of course used the movie as a bribe to get them to clean their bedroom and the toy room/upstairs.  They really enjoyed the movie.  I would have enjoyed it more without Logan.  He was entertained for the first 15 minutes, and then wanted to crawl around.  I love watching movies in 3D....but dang they sure are expensive!  We had a great time though.
