We Love Sand Hollow!

 Wednesday we got going pretty early and headed to Sand Hollow.  The kids love it there as do we.

A few years ago, we found a perfect spot to set up.  Its a little ways to walk, but totaly worth it.  And again we had the place to ourselves.

The boys had a great time in the water and building sand castles.  Logan enjoyed eating the sand.  My hot husband takes such good care of us.  If I sat down....I wasn't getting back up any time soon. lol  So he kept them happy.  I don't know how he does it, but he manages to actually lose weight while I get fatter and fatter.  Damn he looks good!

We brought "sand"wiches and snacks to eat.  The boys didn't want to leave.  I was enjoying getting more sun.  But everything must come to an end. 

As well as this trip is coming to an end.  They always seem to go so quickly.  So glad I have opportunities to vacation with my family. Already looking forward to coming down again the next month. 

Easy Day Tuesday

Tuesday we just took it easy.  The kids played at the house while Das and I did absolutely nothing.  I love that about St. George.  But around 2 we took the kids to a splash pad close by.  It being a Tuesday, no one was there.  We soaked up LOTS of sun.  Das especially.  Then went back home to relax some more. 

Another Pool Day

Monday morning was check out time.  We weren't quite ready to take off to St. George though.

So we packed the car up, and headed to the pool, since we knew the passcode and it was such a great pool. 

Das would put Logan on his shoulders and then go under water...just barely leaving Logan's head out of the water.  He loved it.

I know everyone always thinks they have the cuttest children, but look how freaking good looking my boys are!  And they are so much fun.  Every where we went I would get someone coming up to me asking if my next one was a girl.  And some would ask if I was going to try again for a girl.  Or they would tell me how I carry all in front.  And some would just stare at us with a look like..." quit having children already." lol 

When Logan started getting fussy, we packed up and headed out so he could nap in the car.  But we weren't done swimming just yet.  We stopped in Mesquite and did a couple of more hours at the Casa Blanca pool.  They have a slide that Logan wanted to go down over and over.  The pool was freezing though. 

Then we headed back to St. George, ordered pizza, and crashed out.

Sunday was a very busy day for us. We woke up really early to attend a time share thing for Holliday Inn.  Eventually we would like to buy into a time share, but not right now.  The guy thought we were blowing smoke up his butt when we told him how much we have vacationed the last 3 years and how little we paid.

 But it's true.  With my parents who are very generous with all they have, and points Das has accrued through traveling for work, we  have vactationed a lot at a very little cost.  We are very fortunate.  And we have taken advantage every chance we get.

 After the time share, we headed straight to the pool.  Not a cloud in the sky.  And the pool was a perfect temperature.  Logan wasn't sure at first how he felt about the pool but soon was swimming like a fish.

 We took a break for lunch and I tried to get Logan down for a nap.  But he wouldn't go to sleep.  But then he napped at the pool for a bit while we soaked up some more sun.

Das found a mexican resaurant close to Freemont Street that we headed to for dinner.  Logan wanted to walk around, but didn't want to keep his shoes on.  Dirty Dirty!

 We then walked over to Freemont Street to check out the entertainment.  At first the boys were a little scared, but started getting excited to take pictures with some of their favorite characters.  This was my first time at Old Las Vegas.  I really enjoyed it as did the kids.  It is more kid friendly than the strip.

The top of Freemont St is covered and is constantly flashing lights and a show every hour.  There is lots going on every 10 ft.   

This would be mine and Das's 5th trip to Vegas since we started seeing each other 4 years ago. But it was the first trip where we had the boys. So we didn't do any gambling or staying out late. I kept telling Das he should go out, but he preferred not to. We have too much fun as a family. We will save that for our next trip without the children.

Logan was so amused by everything, that he didn't make a peep the whole time and had this amazed look on his face. Das was worried he would start screaming if we did a picture with him and the smurfs, so he was going to stand in the pic and hold him. But the girl smurf insisted on taking him. He did just fine.

And we are off!

 After lunch we got on the road.  Everyone was excited to get to Vegas.  The boys asked every 10 minutes how much longer. 

My sexy husband always gets us there safely. 

Although this is the concerned look on my face the whole time.  I try to read or sleep, but I can't help keep my eyes on the road and my hand gripped on the door.

 Logan doesn't have a tough time sleeping in the car though.  When he woke up from his nap, he looked like a munchkin.  We are the boys from the lollipop gang. lol

While Das checked in, I turned on the Wiggles for Logan.  It kept them all entertained for a bit. 

We got situated in our room while Logan checked out all the electronics and then went to check out the pools.  Unfortunately, the weather was chilly, so no swimming the first day.  Instead we got ready and headed over to New York, New York Casino for our favorite pizza.  The boys gobbled it all up.  We decided to call it a night so we had energy to play the next day when the weather was warmer.

HOME away from HOME

 We are are so lucky that my parents have a home in St. George that we can stay at.  We spend a lot of time down there through out the whole year to just get away.  And we also use it as an in between place to break up our traveling.  Yesterday we took off around 4, as soon as Das got off work.  We didn't want to be traveling in the rain and dark.  The weather was great the whole way.

 We really love staying the night in St. George to break up the trip.  Especially since Logan got car sick, and threw up half way there.  We arrived around 8 and stopped at Del Taco for dinner.  I put the kids to bed, and myself, while Das ran to the grocery store for a few items for the week.

The kids wanted leftover tacos for breakfast.  The plan is to shower and head to Las Vegas for a couple of days, and then back to St. George for a few more.  Time for some R and R.

Easter Sunday

 Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pics Sunday.  I just had to much going on, and forgot.  But Sunday morning the boys woke up pretty early to find their Easter baskets that were filled with lots of little toys.  Their favorites seem to be the bug lockers.  Boys!  After church we rushed home to clean up and prepare food.  We of course had to get a Honey Baked Ham. 

Logan was the only one who had an Easter outfit this year.  The boys just wore their regular church clothes.

Das's mother came home from India a few days ago.  She brought a bunch of gifts with her to give to the kids.  This is Logan enjoying his gift from grandma.  She also brought back some calming oils and stuffed animals, coloring books, and a board game for the boys.  They love them.   

Ratha and Racie couldn't make dinner, but were able to stop by afterwards to visit.  Such cute boys in their Eater outfits.  I can't believe how fast they grow up.   

I am so thankful for this Holiday and for the chance to reflect on Christ and his sacrifices for us.  I feel so blessed to have what I have.  How grateful I am for the atonement of Christ, for the sacrifice he made for us, and for the knowledge of his resurrection...that he lives again...that we may have eternal life.
