Logan is 17 months!

Logan loves to play outside.  We have started leaving the back door open so he can go play out with his brothers.  He thinks he is as big as they are.  When Das mows the lawn, he will follow him around the whole yard. 

He lets me play with his beautiful hair. lol Das thinks I need to cut it since people think he is a girl with his long curls. 

He still loves his signing time.  It's the one thing I can turn on to calm him down.  And he has learned so many signs from it.

He hates the sun in his eyes.  He loves to wear his brothers sun glasses

And he adores his big brothers.  He loves to cuddle up next to them.

The Dirty Bird!

 He gets this from his daddy.  Das points with  his middle finger, and so does Logan.  Our primary kids are always freaking out that he is flipping them off.

The other Day we were at Lowe's and this woman came up to say how cute he was.  As she turned around Logan pointed at her, but it looked like he was flipping her off. lol

He is always trying to get into the fridge.  He likes to take out all the bottles and then put them back.  We sure do love this little guy!

Busy Busy!

The last couple of weekends have been non stop for us.  We have been outside working in our yard like crazy.

Das even took Friday off to get some stuff done, and we still have lots to do.  But man the yard sure looks great.  Das finally finished with the gravel this weekend.  Last weekend we had a mob of boys show up with shovels to help out for some service they needed for scouts.   

Later that night he built a fire for them and let them roast marshmallows.  We love our neighbors and their great kids.  Tristan and Ashton are the youngest, and these older boys are so great to always include them.   

 It will be tough finding neighborhs as great as ours.

Logan of course had to be outside with everyone.  He was mesmorized by the fire.  I tried to stay far from the smoke since I had just showered, but I still stunk.

I couldn't help much with the gravel, so I spent a lot of time these past weekends weeding and planting. 

This weekend Das finished up with the gravel which sure looks so great!  And then he started working on my drip system.  It hasn't really run properly the last couple of years, so he went and got all the stuff to fix it so I wouldn't have to hand water everything. 

These stones were sitting at the house on Lincoln Lane.  Das did not want to bring them home.  He couldn't envision a place for them in our yard like I could.  And they turned out great.  They will look even better once the ground cover spreads. 

It is so nice not to have to worry about this side of the house anymore.  All it was, was a bunch of weeds.  Now we just need to get some four wheelers to store in this space.

Saturday evening Das hosted a poker party at our house, so I took the boys out to a movie.  We took the front row so Logan could run around.  The boys had a lot of fun.

Sunday after church we went out to visit Rama at his treatment center.  The boys wanted to feed the horses.

 I told them we would bring some carrots next week.

We have gotten so much done these past few weeks.  We still have lots more to do, but its coming along nicely.  We are definitely looking forward to Memorial weekend for a nice break.

Lucky in Love

One fine day, before Das and I were married, we were hanging out at my house listening to music and just hanging out.  I decided to check some music videos out on ONDemand.  I came across this Jason Mraz video.  He has always been one of my favorite artists.  This song instantly became "our song."  The day were were married, we had my sister and her husband sing it after the ceremony.  And on our honeymoon, Das and I tried to make our own video to it while sitting on the beach in Puerto Rico.  The videos are hilarious...and such a great memory.  So I was thrilled when Das bought us tickets for our anniversary to go see him in concert in Las Vegas in October.  What a wonderful husband!  I have enjoyed every minute being married to Das.  He has been everything I have ever wanted in a husband and father.  I am so thankful that our paths crossed and became one.  He is my soul mate, my best friend, and will forever be the love of my life.  Thanks Das for making me Mrs. Jettie.

Happy Anniversary Babe! 

We Love Sand Hollow!

 Wednesday we got going pretty early and headed to Sand Hollow.  The kids love it there as do we.

A few years ago, we found a perfect spot to set up.  Its a little ways to walk, but totaly worth it.  And again we had the place to ourselves.

The boys had a great time in the water and building sand castles.  Logan enjoyed eating the sand.  My hot husband takes such good care of us.  If I sat down....I wasn't getting back up any time soon. lol  So he kept them happy.  I don't know how he does it, but he manages to actually lose weight while I get fatter and fatter.  Damn he looks good!

We brought "sand"wiches and snacks to eat.  The boys didn't want to leave.  I was enjoying getting more sun.  But everything must come to an end. 

As well as this trip is coming to an end.  They always seem to go so quickly.  So glad I have opportunities to vacation with my family. Already looking forward to coming down again the next month. 

Easy Day Tuesday

Tuesday we just took it easy.  The kids played at the house while Das and I did absolutely nothing.  I love that about St. George.  But around 2 we took the kids to a splash pad close by.  It being a Tuesday, no one was there.  We soaked up LOTS of sun.  Das especially.  Then went back home to relax some more. 

Another Pool Day

Monday morning was check out time.  We weren't quite ready to take off to St. George though.

So we packed the car up, and headed to the pool, since we knew the passcode and it was such a great pool. 

Das would put Logan on his shoulders and then go under water...just barely leaving Logan's head out of the water.  He loved it.

I know everyone always thinks they have the cuttest children, but look how freaking good looking my boys are!  And they are so much fun.  Every where we went I would get someone coming up to me asking if my next one was a girl.  And some would ask if I was going to try again for a girl.  Or they would tell me how I carry all in front.  And some would just stare at us with a look like..." quit having children already." lol 

When Logan started getting fussy, we packed up and headed out so he could nap in the car.  But we weren't done swimming just yet.  We stopped in Mesquite and did a couple of more hours at the Casa Blanca pool.  They have a slide that Logan wanted to go down over and over.  The pool was freezing though. 

Then we headed back to St. George, ordered pizza, and crashed out. 

Vegas Baby! Vegas

Sunday was a very busy day for us. We woke up really early to attend a time share thing for Holliday Inn.  Eventually we would like to buy into a time share, but not right now.  The guy thought we were blowing smoke up his butt when we told him how much we have vacationed the last 3 years and how little we paid.

 But it's true.  With my parents who are very generous with all they have, and points Das has accrued through traveling for work, we  have vactationed a lot at a very little cost.  We are very fortunate.  And we have taken advantage every chance we get.

 After the time share, we headed straight to the pool.  Not a cloud in the sky.  And the pool was a perfect temperature.  Logan wasn't sure at first how he felt about the pool but soon was swimming like a fish.

 We took a break for lunch and I tried to get Logan down for a nap.  But he wouldn't go to sleep.  But then he napped at the pool for a bit while we soaked up some more sun.

Das found a mexican resaurant close to Freemont Street that we headed to for dinner.  Logan wanted to walk around, but didn't want to keep his shoes on.  Dirty Dirty!

 We then walked over to Freemont Street to check out the entertainment.  At first the boys were a little scared, but started getting excited to take pictures with some of their favorite characters.  This was my first time at Old Las Vegas.  I really enjoyed it as did the kids.  It is more kid friendly than the strip.

The top of Freemont St is covered and is constantly flashing lights and a show every hour.  There is lots going on every 10 ft.   

This would be mine and Das's 5th trip to Vegas since we started seeing each other 4 years ago. But it was the first trip where we had the boys. So we didn't do any gambling or staying out late. I kept telling Das he should go out, but he preferred not to. We have too much fun as a family. We will save that for our next trip without the children.

Logan was so amused by everything, that he didn't make a peep the whole time and had this amazed look on his face. Das was worried he would start screaming if we did a picture with him and the smurfs, so he was going to stand in the pic and hold him. But the girl smurf insisted on taking him. He did just fine.
