The Weather Outside is Frightful!

These two big brothers were so excited for Santa to come, that we could hardly get them to bed.  But we let them know that Santa will skip our house if they weren't asleep when he flew above our house.  And then we told them we could hear sleigh bells ringing.  They flew to bed.
Once asleep, Das and I started to help the elves out and set things up.  Das couldn't contain himself, so we tested a few things out before going to bed......around 2 AM.  The boys were then up around 7.

They had a great morning.  Their big gift was the WII.  They also got some razor scooters, mario kart, mario brothers, indiana jones, star wars, a few ds games, Chicago Bears shirts and pants, and books.

Das received some pants, a few WII games(Cabella's game hunter, wipeout, and Zelda), a picture of his dad, the movie "Inception", tie, nose hair trimmer.  He bought me a boppy, foot massager, fudge, a gift card to Rue21, gift card to Leisures Hair Salon.  But our big gift was family pictures that turned out so wonderful!  We then had Das's brothers out for breakfast.  Rama and Alma hung out with us all morning and afternoon.  My parents stopped by right before we left for Mirabia's.  It was so fun for them to see our Christmas.  They give us money each year for Christmas which had helped us to pay for a lot of our gifts.  We are so grateful to them!
At Mirabai's we ate some really great food and then had our gift exchange.  Melissa always sets this up so nicely.   We bought for Mark, Scott, Aunt Kay, and Alma this year.  I always love the gift exchange.  And Mira on top of that gave us a cute family home evening chart and a Jettie hanging sign.  What a wonderful year it has been.  It came and went so quickly though.  We wish we could stop time.  Love you all and to all a good night!

O Holy Night....

To start off....I can not believe our baby is 4 weeks old already.  It has been such a wonderful and exciting month.  He is our little angel....loved by all.  Christmas Eve was such a joyful night with the family.  We headed over to my parents this year.  And from the moment we got there, everyone wanted to hold Logan.  The only times I really saw him were when he was hungry.  This is my niece Emily.  She just loves babies and is so good with them.  I can't wait until she is old enough to babysit.
Hailey, Savanah, Emily, Carly, and Nicole all awaiting to hold him.
Das and his little man.  Can I just tell you how much I love having these wonderful men in my life?!  They all keep me on my toes and make my life so wonderful.
Grandma and her 34th grandchild!!!  And yes....they were all there....except for the 2 missionaries.
After our crazy dinner with entertaining conversation, we got the kids ready for our traditional reinactment of the Nativity scene.  I have always enjoyed this part, but love it even more to watch my own children particpate.  Tristan and Ashton were shephards.

I wish I could get a panoramic view of my family crowded around to watch this spiritual event.  Just imagine this x6.
Andrew and Claire playing Joseph and Mary.  They wanted to use Logan as baby Jesus, but he wanted to eat more.
After the Nativity, some of the children came up to sing, play the piano or violin, or show any talents they wanted to share.  This is my brother's daughter, Savanah.  Such a sweet voice.  I was in awe by all the talent.  Especially Diann's daughters, Emily(8) and Claire(6) playing their violins.  Such talent!!!
Even little Lilly wanted in on the baby action.
The most famous tradition.....opening up pajamas.  We found these at Costco months ago and felt they completly fit for the boys.
Paxton and Tristan
Riley and Ashton.  Don't you just love the Hugh Hefner Look?
We always have such a great time with our families.  We are so blessed to have each and everyone of them in our lives.  We are thankful for the birth of our Savior.  And cherish all these moments.  We hope you all had a Verry Merry Christmas!

One week old....

I can not believe Logan is already a week old.  I hate how fast it goes when they finally get here.  And he has already changed so much.  I have been lucky to have really good babies, but he has been my best so far.  He eats, sleeps, burps, and poops well.  Taking after his daddy already.:)  The first night was our roughest, but getting better every night.  He is becoming more alert every day.  We had our friend Missy bring us in dinner Sunday night.  My visiting teachers on Monday.  Ashton's preschool teacher on Tuesday.  And my sister in law Alysia on Wednesday.  Every thing has been very tasty.  We took Logan to Frank and Joanna's Christmas party last night, and he did very well.  And Sunday we have Kelly and Joe bringing us dinner in.  Thanks to everyone for all your help.  We have enjoyed our visitors and being able to show off our little man.

The proud daddy
Das really is such a natural at this.
Exhausted, but loving every minute of it.

We are so in love with this little guy.  He has been such a joy already.  The delivery was fast and easy.  He was out in less than 5 minutes.  The worst part was the epidural.  Das followed him around every where with the camera.  He has been a very good eater, and a pretty calm baby.  Das said he didn't even cry through the circumcision.  I think he looks just like a Jettie.  Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the hospital and to those who have brought dinners in.  We are grateful to you all.  And we are so blessed to have Logan join our family.

The Stockings Were Hung....

I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner.  I wanted to get our tree up early, since we aren't sure when this baby is coming.  And since we don't have a chimney, we hung the stockings by the front window.  We don't have very many decorations yet.  But my mother is going to go through all hers, and see what we can have.  It was so much fun sitting in our family room last night, with the tree lit, and looking out at the snow.  We went out after church to build a snowman, but the snow wasn't sticking.  I was hoping it would put me into labor.:)  This is our first Christmas in our new house.  It has been a wonderful year!  New house, baby, and Wednesday I was able to receive my endowments.  It was such a neat experience.  Especially to have my whole family there, and my wonderful husband.  I hope to make it back to the temple several times before the end of the year.  And soon Das and I will be sealed.  We have truely been blessed.  We hope everyone enjoys the Holidays.

Good food, Great gifts, and the Best of Friends

Every other month we do dinner club.  A couple chooses a night to host this, and chooses a theme.  This month was Kevin and Leesa.  They chose tailgating.  Everyone showed up wearing their favorite team shirts.  Das and I of course wore Bears gear.  We were very proud of everone who supported our Utes.  What a great night it was!
They also decided to combine the couple shower they had planned for Das and I, since it was being held at the same house and with the same friends.  Which totally worked for me since who knows when this baby is going to come.=)
We got some wonderful gifts.  Frank and Joana-the cuttest diaper cake, Kelli and Joe-some baby Bears outfits(perfect for Das),  Leesa and Kevin-a darling outfit and an infant U of U hat(So cute), Kristi and Jeff-another adorable outfit and a target gift card, and Ben and Heather-DIAPERS!
Thank you guys so much for putting it together and celebrating this wonderful time with us.  We love all of the gifts.  Baby Jettie is going to be so spoiled.
After we opened gifts....we ate!  Kevin deep fried a turkey and that turkey was soooo tasty and moist.  Here, he is injecting it with something.  Other foods included....wings, homemade salsas, coleslaw, deep fried cheese curds, and pretzels.
