Together Forever!

Today was a special day for the Jettie's.  We were sealed together in the Oquirrh Temple for time and eternity to each other, and our beautiful boys.  The day was absolutely perfect!
I am the baby of eight siblings, and I was so proud to have each of them their for this special day. And also to have Das's family there as well. It was such a busy week and I thank each of them for all of their help.  Special thanks to Allison for helping me find the perfect dress and coming to help clean our house.  And to Lynette for helping clean also and get my yard ready.
And an extra special thanks to my parents for all that they have done for us.

It was so neat to be sealed to Das, and then to have our precious boys join us all dressed in white.  I am so happy to have each of them in my life and it comforts me to know that we will be together forever.  After the sealing, we headed to our house for a small luncheon.  My parents catered it for us.  And a few family members brought dessert.  Thank you all so much!  The weather was perfect as well.

Another thanks to our neighbors the Dixon's, Richardson's, and Jensen's for lending us tents, tables and chairs.

Thank you everyone for sharing this special day with us and making it memorable.  We love you all and are blessed to have each and everyone of you in our lives.  Family is so important to us and we are forever grateful to have such great ones!

Memorial Weekend Campout.

So our wonderful neighbors have been going camping over Memorial weekend every year for a long time.  We feel so lucky to be included in their activities.  It has been so much fun getting to know each of them. You can't tell in the picture above, but there are about 10 campers all in a circle.  They give out food assignments and clean up duty.  They also bring up a projector to watch movies.  Everyone had their dogs and bikes.  So much fun to live in a neighborhood like ours.
Despite the crummy weather, everyone was having a great time.  And the children didn't let the rain stop them from having fun.  This is the Case's pop up trailer.  It was nice and warm.  Das and I would like to eventually buy one of these.
Melissa and me.
It was Will Richardsons birthday.  His mom(Lorilee) passed around a card for all of us to sign.  Then we collected at the pavillion to sing him happy birthday.

Das had promised the boys they could roast marshmallows.  So in between the rain, he started a fire.

We were planning on bringing our tent and camping out but it was to cold for Logan.  But next year we hope to have a trailer and to stay the whole weekend.
Sunday morning we had to teach primary anyway.  At church all of our neighbors were there and said they all came home Saturday night due to the rain.  They all got together at the Hansens next door to us for dinner.  They invited us, but Das had planned a special dinner for me for my birthday.  It was very tasty!  Thanks sweetie!

In Memory of Pete!

Ralph Frank Jettie(Pete)
Born June 16, 1942
Died August 29, 2009
Most of us look at Memorial day as just another holiday.  I look at it as a day Das gets to stay home and spend some time with us.  But today I would like to reflect on the moments I got to spend with my father in law.  Pete was such a wonderful man and he is missed dearly.  He loved his family and his country.  We know he is up in heaven watching over us.  And it comforts me to know that we will see him again some day.  We love you Pita!

Das. . Sue. . and U2

A LONG LONG
TIME AGO.....
DAS AND SUZANNE
WERE BORN.

Last year Das and I learned U2 was coming in concert around our birthdays.  I had already seen them in concert when he was on his mission.....but that was many years ago, so I wanted to see them again and Das really wanted to see them.  I have only seen two bands in concert more than once, and they have both been with Das.  Blue October, and now U2. I wouldn't have it any other way.  Das and I decided that we would buy tickets for our birthday presents last year. Unfortunately, Bono had to have back surgery and they canceled the concert.  We patiently waited for them to reschedule, and when they did, we were pleased to know that we would be able to attend. . . and it would still be around our birthdays!  We are just beginning to get comfortable leaving Logan for longer than an hour with the neighbors.  So we planned for our neighbor, Melissa (Miss South Jordan) :) to come sit with the boys.  It turned out we had pretty good seats.  Really close to the stage just a few rows up.  Their stage was spectacular and the show was unbelievable. Great sound, great light show and all their great songs. So glad that we went!
