Our last day in California we drove to Newport Beach.  This time we brought the stroller to make our lives a little easier.  Again, Logan was so happy and content.  He loves his binky.  One point on this trip he was a little fussy, and we couldn't find the binky any where.  We hadn't moved from our spot so we knew it had to be some where.  After searching a bit......I looked down and it had fallen down my shirt right into a perfect spot. lol

I sat and watched these waves get bigger and bigger.  I couldn't stop oohing and aahing at them.  But I was worried about all these boys getting swallowed up.  Das several times went in an I was afraid he wouldn't come back out.  One time these 8 foot waves swept him down half a mile from us.  That was his last time going in.

I had a pedicure done a few days before we left.  Gotta have cute feet at the beach.

What a wonderful trip we had!  We stayed one more night in LA and drove to St. George the next day.  My parents were at their condo and wanted to take us to dinner, but we got there too late.  We stopped in Mesquite and Das dropped me off at the casino to play while he took the kids to Del Taco.  $90 in one hour...not to shabby.=)  So my parents us to breakfast instead.  The boys love their grandparents so much.  They didn't want to leave.  But we got on the road right after and got home at a decent hour.  It's been hard getting back into the swing of things.  Load after load of laundry and grocery shopping.  And on top of all that, we had a busy busy week planned, and even a busier Memorial weekend, and week following.  I am surprised I have had time to blog. lol  It gives me time to reflect on the good times and to not stress about what has to get done next.  But first things first......Ashtons graduation blog.=)

We woke up later than planed Thursday morning and headed to Disney Land.  Our hotel was very close and we were there in no time.  We headed straight to Fantasy Land to get the kiddie rides done with.  Our very first one was Peter Pan.

We kept psyching the boys out telling them how scary it was going to be.  Yeah, we are mean parents. lol  Poor Ashton and his look of fright.  Logan wanted to be involved in everything though.  We thought he might be scared, but he loved every minute of it.

We were excited that the boys were both tall enough to ride the big rides.  So we didn't spend to much time in Fantasy Land.  And we didn't take a ton of pictures cuz we were constantly running to the next ride.  We unfortunately chose a day they were closing early due to the fact the graduating seniors were coming.

This picture is still on Peter Pan.  Ashton cracks me up!  But it probably wasn't a good idea to scare him so bad.  When we got to our first big ride,(Thunder Mountain) he cried and cried that he didn't want to go.  But once we were done, he didn't complain about any other ride.  He loved it!

So we only did three rides in Fantasy Land.  The last was Snow White.....it had the shortest line.  Das thought Logan had a small resemblance to Dopey. LOL  Logan has his daddy's ears.=)

We took advantage of the fast pass, and stroller pass.  The only ride Ashton was too short for was Indiana Jones.  And Tristan wouldn't ride it again with me, so I didn't get to go.  Das said it was one of his favorites.  But Logan was asleep when we went on Pirates, so Das stayed with him while I took the boys.  That's one of my favorites.  We rode space mountain, Matterhorn, tower of terror, and many more.  Splash mountain was closed though.  And next time we go, I want to spend more time in California Adventure.  The boys were so brave.  I think I was more scared than Ashton on Tower of Terror.

As much fun as we had, we were a little relieved that the park closed early.  Das is in a contest with his work to walk miles.  He has a clicker that he hooks to his belt that counts each step he takes.  I can't remember how many he did.....but it was a lot!

Logan loves his back scratched.  So when we got back to the hotel, we put the kids to bed and Das gave him a back rub.  He laid like this for quite a while before finally zonking out.

California Love/Part 2/San Diego Zoo

On Tuesday Das started his training.  It poured all day long, so we didn't leave the hotel room.  But Wednesday the sun finally came out.  We were set to check out Wednesday to head to LA.  So I got the bags all pack and took the luggage to the front desk for them to hold.
Then I loaded the boys up in a taxi and we headed to the San Diego Zoo.  I haven't been there since I was a child but it is suppose to be one of the best.  It really was too....but very pricey.  The first animal we saw were the koalas.  So cute.  I was impressed that Tristan knew they were nocturnal.
The monkeys were my favorite.  They were all lounging right by the window so we were able to interact with them.  I was excited that Logan had just woken up at this point so I could get some pics of my little monkeys.
I love this picture!!!

Just us monkeying around=)
We wish Das could have been there with us.  This part we were walking down the atrium.  Which I was glad for at this point....cuz outside it started to pour.  Luckily it didn't last long at all.

The Polar Bears were the most active.  This bear kept diving for the ball and playing with it.  I was actually glad it was a little cold because not a lot of people were there.

The other polar bear was being fed and was very cooperative  for us to get some good pictures.  It took us 4 hours to get through the whole zoo.  And I timed it just right that Das was just getting done with his training.  He swung by to pick us up and we headed back to the hotel to get our luggage.  Das didn't want to fight traffic to LA, so we let the boys swim for a couple of hours.  Then we stopped at a sea food restaurant off the bay for some tasty fish and chips.  I am sure I put on 5lbs on the trip. UGH!  The drive to LA was easy and the traffic wasn't bad.  I am so glad Das does the driving though.  I hate driving....especially at night.  We checked into our hotel, and got ready to wake up early the next morning to head to Disney Land

California Love! Part one

This past week Das had a two day training in San Diego.  Tristan had just gone off track, so we thought it would be fun to tag along.  We rented a minivan Saturday afternoon after the boys soccer game, and headed to St. George for the night.  We pulled into my parents condo around 10 and crashed.  Das woke us all up at 7:00 so we could get to San Diego at a decent time.
The boys climbed back in the car, and fell right back asleep for a good part of the drive.  We really enjoyed the van.  Very spacious and cozy.  I love the bucket seats.  It was easy for me to climb through my seats to have access to the kids.  Logan was an angel the whole trip.  It was nice too that he could see the boys from his car seat.  Still probably wont be purchasing a minivan, but gotta have the bucket seats!

When we got to the hotel, we unpacked and showered while Das took a little nap.  Then we went out for dinner and just relaxed.
We took a little walk around the bay area to check out places the boys and I could go during the day while Das was working.

Monday we threw on our suits and headed to Coronado Beach.  Such a beautiful beach.  The sun was out, but it was windy.  We played for a couple of hours, but felt it was to cold for Logan.
So we headed back to the hotel to go sit by the pool.

The waves at this beach were so small compared to the beach we went to on Friday.  I just wish it had been a little warmer.  The navy base is located real close to Coronado.  These Navy Seals were taking a run.  It was about a mile long of them.  And jets kept flying over our heads really low.  It was quite neat to see.
This is Das in 10 years. lol  The first few days of our trip were really relaxing and nice.  The next two were a little dull since Das was working and it was rainy.  But the end of the trip was so much fun.  We took so many pictures, I am going to have to break it up.
