The cabin comes to an end.....=(

Sunday morning we woke up, made breakfast, and packed up.  Jason and Mia left around lunch time.  After Das and I finished cleaning up we took off as well.  We decided it might be fun to take a scenic root and drive up to Evanston for some fireworks. Das was persistent that they were cheaper up there and that the drive was short.
I have to say.....it was a beautiful drive.  Not as short as Das promised, but totally worth it.  We saw lots of snow.  Nearing the end, we had to slow down for these sheep.  And a good thing we did.  Cuz as soon as Das put on the brakes, a buck jumped right in front of our car.  First big game of the whole trip.

After fireworks, the excitement for the kids wore off and the staying up late caught up to them.  I sure wish I could sleep this easily.
Some day he will hate me for this pic. lol  We all had such a great time.  Thank you everyone for coming up and making our cabin time so memorable.  We hope to do it again soon!

S'mores and more!

Our husbands are sooo cool!!!  So after the hike, the Love's and Williams decided they were having way to much fun to go home.  So they drove into town and purchased food to make foil dinners.  Mia is a pro at this.  I am glad she was there to coach us or our dinner might have burned.  We did steak in ours, and they were tasty.  Even the kids ate their whole dinner.
Abby and Riley are very close in age.  Aren't they so adorable!!!
Sangvane and I.  Dang I look good. lol
Sangvane's middle daughter Riley.  She is the one who had Logan most of the time.  I need her to come live with me.  My job became so easy with these girls around.
The Moms!  I had such a great time with these women.  Never a dull conversation.  They were so much fun and easy going.  I can't wait to do more with them.....like a cruise that we are planning. *wink wink
Mia was having a great time letting Logan taste everything.  Sugar high! I love having other moms around that know how to let go and have fun.
What a bunch of silly kids!  They all got a long so well.  We joked about one of my boys marrying one of these cute girls someday.  Love these new benches too....thanks to my brother Mark!
Matching....and not planned.

Riley, Chris, Sangvane, and Liberty with and L.  =)
Abby, Peyton, Mia, Jason, and Alysa
Tristan, Ashton, Sue, Das, and Logan

Perfect coals for a perfect foil dinner followed by a perfect marshmallow roast.  Perfect! Perfect! Perfect weekend overall.  After S'mores, the Williams had to take off.  Sangvane had enrichment meetings at nine the next morning. The Love's stayed and played more cards.  This time we played hearts.  Jason and I paired up and almost beat Das and Mia.  Next time you guys!  Be prepared. lol

Beautiful Back Country! Part....4 and many more

After shooting the guns off, we headed to the hiking trail behind the cabin.  Besides the stinging nettle and cow poop....it was gorgeous.  You just had to be careful of where you stepped.
We hiked in for a little under an hour and then hiked back out.
Logan had grabbed a leaf at some point and he can't control himself.  Everything goes in his mouth!!
Don't be surprised if you see some of these pictures on our Christmas cards. lol
The Love Family
Williams....minus oldest daughter

Jettie Clan

The kids did really well.  Tristan became a little paranoid about the stinging nettle and Mia was very concerned about the cow poo. lol  But it was a beautiful and semi challenging hike.  The most challenging being the cow pies and crossing the muddy streams.  Jason had packed his gun in case of any bears sitings, but no wildlife was seen.
Logan tries to grab everything.  And again.....puts everything he does grab, in his mouth.
Hmmmmm......Yummy!

 LOGAN AND DADDY CHILLIN
He is such a daddy's boy.  We joked though that Logan had no loyalty to us at all.  He was passed around all weekend and not once did he cry.  He is spoiled and loves the attention.  And everyone loves him.  He cuddles and laughs all the time.  Everyone wanted to take him home with them.
The whole clan -Jason who is taking the pic.
Coming back down.  Das had hurt his ankle the night before but did really well on this hike.
It was so much work for Logan though.  He slept the whole way back.

Saturday at the Cabin-Part 3

Saturday after breakfast the men and Mia pulled out their guns.  My camera wasn't working at first.  Jason sat all the kids down for a gun safety lesson.  He talked to them about where and when you can shoot.  How to hold the gun.  But the main thing he told them was that no matter what....The Gun Is Always Loaded!  He repeated it to them over and over and had them repeat it.  Even if the bullets were just taken out.....you still act as if the gun is loaded.  I thought it was a very good lesson.  The dads then brought their kids up one by one and let them shoot at the target.  After that, I got my camera to work.  Das and I also purchased bandannas.  This is my gangster pose. lol

This is Das's. lol  I think he is sexy.;)
Then everyone had to play around with our wooden man legs.

I'm not sure which picture is more disturbing. haha  Good times!
After target practice we got everyone ready for a hike.  To be continued.....

Part Deux! .....For Mia ;)

The Love Family-Jason, Mia, Alysa, Abby, and Payton.  The Williams-Sangvane(Saywon), Chris, Riley, and Libery....(oldest child didn't come.)  The Jetties-Das, Suzanne, Tristan, Ashton, and Logan.
While the boys grilled our dinner, us girls chatted and played with Logan.  I really didn't hold Logan much after they got here.  Their cute girls fell in love with him....which isn't hard to do.  He got spoiled more than usual.
Hanging out with daddy.  Logan really is the best kid.  He is so easy going and just likes to be involved.
After dinner the kids ran around the cabin and then came in to play the WII while the adults set up for poker.

They had no idea they were about to lose all their money....to me. lol
Riley and Logan fell in love.  She carried him around with her every where, and he loved every minute of it.  As did I.  She rocked him to sleep every night and for his naps.  And she is only ten.
Liberty and Abby showing off their dance move.  These girls are precious!  Abby and Lisa were also so good with Logan.
Proof that at one point....I was winning. lol  Look at all those black chips.  At the end of the night....I won five dollars....breaking even....since Das lost all his money. hehe
End of the first night ran into the next morning.  1 AM and everyone was still wide awake.  Das and I tried to sleep in but had no luck with Logan doing the same.  Jason and Mia got up early to take a run to the gate and back.  I believe 4 miles and back?  I was exhausted just thinking about it. lol
