Kiddies at the Korn Maze

Last night we took the boys to the corn maze out by us.  Tristan was excited.....at first.

But as we were walking to get our tickets, the scary crew came out of the trailor and walked right past us.  There were about twenty of them with freaky masks on, and everyone of them looked down at the boys as they passed.  Das thought it was funny to push Tristan into them.  And Ashton emediatly crossed to my other side to hold my hand.
The beginning of the corn maze, and Ashton was already freaking out.  Tristan was a little unsure.

Not even around the first corner of the maze, and you can tell by this picture Ashton's fright. lol
Das threw him on his shoulders, and he held on for dear life.  We had to turn around and ask for our money back.

Ashton had this look the whole way to the car. lol  It was a lot of fun though.

Our Little Soccer Boys

The White Dragons, and the Green Gators!
Tristan and Ashton started soccer last week.  We have games Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
They both seem to really love it.

My brother Mark is the coach of Ashton's team.  His triplet boys are on that team as well.  They played last year and are really good.  Tristan and Ashton haven't learned yet how to get in there.  But they are learning fast.  I don't think Ashton likes all the other little kids pushing him to get to the ball.  I asked him if he had fun after his first game.  He told me yes. So I asked him if he was excited for his next game and he said no. lol "Mommy, I don't like fighting over the ball." he said.  But when he gets the ball, he is a great kicker and runner.  I am glad we signed them up.  But my weeks just got hectic, and no more sleeping in on Saturdays with Das for a few weeks.:(

Machine Gun Fire

These pictures were taken from our backyard.  This one was around 4:00 when the fire hadn't gone over the mountain yet.
This is the moon taken around 6.  The sun was still up.
This was still early in the evening, but I couldn't get a good pic with the flash.  The fire just coming over the mountain.  By the end of the night, it had consumed the whole side.

This was taken the same time as the one above.
This was around 10.  You can't see the mountain, but the fire is burning in the middle of it.
These next two I took from my friends facebook.
Heaven and Hell?
The last days?
What a tragedy!  We were just outside the evacuation zone.  I drove up through Herriman before it came over the mountain and it was creepy.  My heart goes out to those who lost their homes.

Ready-Set-Hike! Football Season is Here!

The last couple of months Tristan and Ashton have made quite a few friends in our circle.  I love watching them run around with all the neighbors playing games, from house to house.  The boys are all older than them, but no one seems to mind.  Sam across the street has been playing basketball and football with them.  It is so neat to have older boys willing to teach Tristan and Ashton a thing or two about sports.  As I was watching them the other day I saw how good they were getting.  They are both able to catch and throw really well.  So I told Das we needed to get them a football and stuff.  To my surprise, Das on his way home from the airport, picked some up.  The boys have been begging him to play all weekend.  He played with them a few hours on Saturday, and after church on Sunday(between games of course.)  And during the games they sat with him and he coached them on what was going on.  They start soccer this week and Das is going to help assist my brother coaching when he can.  I am so excited that they are getting excited about sports and they have such a great dad to teach them.
Ashton still needs a little practice....he closes his eyes.  But the boys aim seems to be pretty good. lol

28 weeks down.....12 more to go.

The last couple of weeks have been so busy.  Das was home for a week and we took off to St. George for Labor Day.  Unfortunately....I forgot the camera.  We had a great time though swimming at the pool and Sand Hollow and mainly just taking it easy.  Just what I needed.  Some time to sit and not think about all the things that are coming up.  I know Christmas is still 4 months away, but I have already started making lists.  With the baby coming in early December, Christmas is gonna be crazy. I need to go through baby clothes and the boys start soccer this week.  And to top that off, I have no clothes that fit.  But I did buy a few shirts today and my visiting teaching companion is lending me some of hers.  Our little boy is quite the active one.  Sometimes I can't even sleep at night he is moving so much.  We still haven't decided on a name yet, but middle name is going to be Ralph, after Das's dad.  I can't wait to meet this little man that is kicking me all the time.  3 months still seems like a long time, but I know its gonna fly.

Family Night

We have been talking about getting to a Bee's game since the last time we went.....2 years ago!  So we thought, what a better way to spend family night.
Ashton seems to enjoy sports more than Tristan.  He seemed very interested in what was going on.  And we of course had to get hot dogs....which cost more than the tickets.
We took the kids over to ride the train and play on the playground.
The kids goofed around, and we cuddled up on our blanket to watch the rest of the game...well most of it.  By 9 o'clock they were only in the 5th inning.  So we took off early.  But it was a great night.  Thanks Das for taking us.

Activity Days

So far since I was called for the 8 year old activity leader, we have done two activities.
The first one we just played some "getting to know you" games.  And the girls ran around for a while after they ate smore's I made.  My group started out as 5 girls.  And I just found out this week I have more.  A total of 13 girls this month until December.  Just the 5 I had were out of control. lol  But I am really enjoying my calling.  I probably won't be keeping it after the baby is born.
The 2nd activity the girls decorated magnetic boards.  They were very creative and even decorated my table with glitter.=)
\
The next activity is next week after we get home from St. George.  We are making CTR magnets to go with their boards.  If all 13 girls show up, it's gonna get wild.  But these girls are such a cute bunch.  I am so blessed to get to work with them.
Maddison lives next door to us.  I think Tristan has a little crush on her.  I don't blame him with her cute dimples.
Maya is probably the most outgoing.  She told Tristan that she thought he was cute and could walk home were her.  Uh Oh!  Trouble!
Cassidy was the newest to the group this activity.  Just barely 8 the day before.
Ashley came late, but caught up real fast with the rest of the girls.
Bailey was quite at first, but she definitely came out of her shell with the rest of them.
One that I had made earlier for a friend.  But I used material instead of paper.  I found the magnetic boards at the dollar store.  They were just these ugly metal pictures.  I had Das drill holes in them for the ribbon.
