Our Little Helper

Looks Like an Angel....
Talks Like an Angel...
Walks Like and Angel....
BUT...
He's the
DEVIL in DISGUISE!
Ashton really is such a sweet child.  He loves to help us around the house....ALL the time.  He has a little bit of OCD and everything has to be perfect.  Today he vacumed the whole house for me.  He always wants to clean his own dish out.  I love that he likes to help, except when I am in a hurry.lol  Ashton is also very sweet to everyone.  He doesn't say much when you talk to him.  Just smile and nods.  He primary teachers say he is so quite in class and is their best.  He loves to give hugs and kisses.  And always says "thank you."  But when you upset him, the whole neighborhood can hear.  He throws the worst tantrums.  Das likes to record them.  And Ashton is so stuborn.  He will not quit until we give in.  And lately, he has been calling Tristan a B*@%&.

Another cheesy tribute to my Wonderful Husband!

I guess I will go back 48 hours to tell you my story.  It started really Friday morning when Das went with me to my ultrasound because the baby is measuring small.  Ultrasound showed his head being the right size but not his body.  They have me scheduled for further tests.  But Friday night I was extremely paranoid I was leaking amniotic fluid.  Das was very comforting and said everything will be fine but to call the doctor in the morning to go in and ease my mind.  So Saturday we woke up to Ashton calling Tristan the B word, over and over.  Das did what I have been avoiding.....put tabasco in his mouth.  I think he learned his lesson. lol  Then while I was getting ready for the doctors, Das went to the store and purchased pumpkins.  He brought them home and spent the next couple of hours letting the boys pick out how they wanted their pumpkins and carving them with them.
Both boys were to scared to touch the goop at first.
They were so weirded out by the fact he put some in his mouth.  It was the funniest thing ever.

After carving pumpkins, we headed to Labor and Delivery.  Das sat there patiently while they checked me out and told me nothing was leaking.  Then Das took me to lunch.  We came home and started cleaning for Ratha and Racie to come over to watch the U game.  Das had Ashton following him around the whole time helping.  And I know this sounds cute, but it can get quite annoying. lol  Ashton loves to clean but it takes him twice as long.  So while I was in the kitchen, Das and Ashton were upstairs.  Ashton was constantly saying, "like this Das? Is it my turn? Let me do it!"  Das was very good to let him help.  I would have been yelling at him to go play.
And then even though it was raining, we headed out the door to go Trick or Treating.  We could only get the boys to go to a couple of circles.

After watching the game, we turned on some old family videos that Das found at his dad's.  It was so much fun to see the kids so young and to see Pete again.  Das and I stayed up until 1:30 watching them.  We woke up Sunday morning and Das pulled out his phone to have me listen to my wonderful snoring that woke him up in the middle of the night.  And Das doesn't wake up to anything. lol  Only 5 more weeks sweetie.:)  We got out of bed and I made a key lime pie for my nephews farwell, cut Das's hair, and got ready for the boys Primary program.  The morning was going great.  Das left early to meet with the bishopric, yes a calling was in store.:)  He was gonna come back for us if he had time, but he didn't.  I packed the boys up and headed over.  They moved our ward house recently and I had only been there once before.  Daybreak has a ton of stop signs and four way stops.  I finally had the church in site.  I stopped at my last stop sign and quickly decided to go straight instead on right.  As I pulled out, SMACK, I hit another car.  This stop sign was NOT a 4 way stop.  I was in shock.  I wasn't sure what just hit me.....I mean what I just hit.  I instantly grabbed my phone and called Das.  He was there in minutes.(This happens to be the same exact street that I popped Das's tire on)  The family I hit was in the ward, and were more concerned about me.  I was mostly embarrassed.  My car was ok, but their's wasn't so lucky.    Everyone was fine, but we were all shookin up.  Das was there for me every minute.  Making sure I was sitting down, he filled out the information, talked to the cop, and just made sure I felt ok.  We finished up, and went to watch the Primary program.  I then had a farwell to go to, and Das had a plane to catch.  He was worried about me driving alone.  My nephew's farwell was very neat.  He spoke on integrity.  And I thought to myself, above all the other qualities my husband has, he has integrity.  I wanted to get a copy of my nephews talk, but he had most of it in my head.  But he said something like this, " Integrity means knowing good from evil, right from wrong, and acting accordingly. It means always trying to be truthful when it would be easier to tell a lie, which can grow worse and worse. It means following through with your commitments, when it would seem easier to quit. Our we honest with oursleves, our family, and most importantly, God?  Do we refrain from talking gossip?  Do we stand true for our values?"  And I couldn't get Das out of my head.  He has the highest integrity of anyone I know...besides my Dad.      Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching.”  I have such a wonderful husband.  He is my best friend and I couldn't have gotten through this weekend without him.  He has integrity in everything he does.  He treats me with respect and love.  He provides for us.  And he puts up with us.  Everyday I see how truely blessed I am to have him in my life.  He is a great example to our children and he is someone I want to strive to be like.

OINK OINK!

Das and I were invited to a Halloween party last Saturday at his friend Joe and Kim. We were definitely planning on going, but had no idea what to go as.  We had just gotten back from our trip a couple of hours before the party started.  So we headed over to the Halloween store to see what we could come up with.  I said,"Let's go as pigs!"  Since I already look like one. lol  And this is what Das thought I meant.=)

Everyone was asking me if that was my real belly.  I know....very gutsy of me to bare it all.  But Das loved it.  He actually painted to whole thing for me and glued on the nipples.  We were in such a hurry that it didn't quite dry in time, but it worked.

Thanks guys for showing us a great time.  We love Halloween!

Drive home....Last post of our trip

I had packed everything I could think of to entertain the boys on our road trip.  Movies, DS's, puzzles, treats, homework, books, ect.  The only thing they ended up doing was playing our ITouches, and their DS's.  Through out the whole drive we stopped more than usual so I could use the bathroom.  All though, the doctor recommended it to avoid blood clots and swelling.
We took the scenic ride home.  The first half of the drive was great.  We planned on getting to St. George aroun 8 or 9.

But about 45 minutes out of Kanab, we got to a road block.  The passage way to St. George was closed.  We asked the cop where the signs were.  He said about 30 minutes back.  We looked for those signs on our way back, and there was only one.  It wasn't even posted at the turn off.  There was nothing else telling us that we were gonna be screwed if we kept going.  It was rainy and dark at this point and made it very unpleasant.  Das and I were both livid.  We then had to drive another hour to the other passage way to St. George.  On top of that, the GPS wasn't working.  It wanted us to drive down some dirt road.  We ended up pulling into St. George aroun 11.  We were exhausted.  But it was nice to stay at my parents condo and get a good nights sleep.

The next part of our trip....ARIZONA

Das had a training in Arizona, and asked us to come along.  So we ended up just driving from San Diego.  The boys did suprisingly well the whole trip.  When we got their, Das had a chance to get together with some friends.  The first night he met up with Brandon Carr to watch some Monday night football.  Tuesday night he took the boys out for dinner so I could get a break.  Wednesday night we met up with the Carr's.  It was my first time finally meeting them, and their family is wonderful.  It was Brandon's birthday--Happy Birthday Brandon!
We met at Culivers.  The food was awesome, especially their cheese curds.  And Das got a cake for afterwards.  Their kids are quite entertaining.  The boys didn't want to leave.  Thanks for a great night Brandon and Carrie!  Can't wait to see you guys again....hopefully sooner than a year.:)

I spent the days sitting by the pool with Tristan and Ashton.  It was very relaxing and helps when I have a really great book to read.  The pool time ended for us though when my 4 year old pooped in the pool. Nasty!  Thursday night Das met up with his friends Dan and Brandon to go to dinner and a movie.  I took the boys out for chinese and rented a movie.  The trip was great and so sad it is over.  They always go by way to fast.  My next blog will be the interesting story of us driving home.  Was the worst part of the whole trip!  Thanks to Das though for a wonderful vacation and for taking such good care of us.  I know I say it all the time, but we are truely blessed to have you in our lives.  I got the whole package!
For those of you on facebook, I am sure you saw this already.  Das had just run down to the car to grab some stuff.  Out the window I saw some cop cars drive along the beach.  So I stepped out on our patio to check it out.  To my surprise I saw a car in the ocean.  This isn't the best pic.  You can see the police cars shining a spotlight on the car.  I hurried and called Das telling him a car was out their.  He thought I had gone crazy.  He got up there and was shocked to see it as well.  The car kept sinking.  It was a nice yellow convertible.  Some out of stater had rented it and was dared to drive along the beach.  They obviously fled the scene.  It was so crazy to see it.
This is me facebooking about it the next morning. lol

Sea World

This is our day at Sea World.  We took so many pictures and videos that I obiously cant post them all.  We started off by going to all the shows-Sea otters, dolpins, and Shamu.  Tristan and Ashton couldn't wait to see the sharks.  So we spent a lot of time there.
They have put in several rides since I was there.  I wish I could have ridden them.  Tristan was so scared so we had Ashton ride with Das first.  We promised Tristan he wouldn't have to ride this roller coaster if Ashton hated it.  Das said Ashton was very excited when they got on but the look of fright came at the top of the coaster.  I guess it was faster than we thought.  When they pulled back in I asked Ashton if he had fun?  He yelled NO and wouldn't talk to Das for a bit after. lol  Tristan wouldn't ride it.

We then went to a 3D show.  This was great!  Things flew right at our faces, and then are would shoot out, or water would spray on us.  The boys thought it was scary and kept taking their glasses off.

Our last ride was the rapids.  I snuck on this one.  But yet I couldn't sneak onto the tea cups.  STUPID!
Tristan was a little worried about the huge waterfal coming up, about to soak us all.  Das gets a good laugh when they are frightened.

Das got some great pictures.  The day was a lot of fun.  I am glad we didn't end up doing Disney Land though.  I was hurting after walking around so much at Sea World.
