Xactwares Summer Party 2012

Yesterday we went to 7 Peaks water park for Das's Summer work party.  You can go as early as it opens if you like, or wait until they close the park to the public around 3.  We waited until 3.  Got a fantastic spot underneath a cabana with Joe and kelli, and hit the rides.
We had taken Logan to the doctors earlier that morning to find both his ears were infected.  He had a lot of fun still, all though you could tell he was miserable.:(
Das took Logan over to the kiddie area, and then took Tristan, Ashton, and Logan around the lazy river and into the wave pool.  I basically sat in the shade with Dallon.
But I did get to take Tristan and Ashton on their first slide.  They rode this one a few times before hitting the bigger slides
And then Das and I took turns watching Logan and Dallon.  After a few slides we got in line for dinner.  I must say, the food is always pretty decent.  And they give everyone a free dip n dot ice cream.
We were suppose to go to my sisters afterward for Draper Day fireworks, but we could not get the kids to get out of the water.  So we didn't end up leaving until after 8.

Dallon did pretty good.  This is me shooshing him.  He just wants to be held and eat all the time.  But I was happy to just sit and relax with my little man.  We all had such a great time.  We love Xactware!  Das work for such a great company and we feel very blessed.   The kids look forward to their parties every summer.

Cabin Part 2

Sunday morning after breakfast the dads took all the kids on a hike behind the cabin.
Then everyone started packing up to head home.  Das and I stayed another night.
After everyone was packed up to go, we all visited for a little longer and took some fun picks.
Jeff and Kevin

I was very proud of all the kids.  They all got along so well and made new friends.

We enjoyed sitting out on the front deck watching the humming birds.  Dallon also did really well this trip.  I can't believe he is already a month old.
He is pretty spoiled though.  Loves to be held.  And he's getting some chubby cheeks.

It turned out to be a favorite trip of ours.  We really had great company join us.  Thanks Mansourri's, Pedroza's, and Aoyagi's for making this trip a memorable one.  I've enjoyed getting to know each of you better and looking forward to next time.  After our guests all left, Das and I took the kids into town for dinner.  We went to bed at a decent hour and started clean up bright and early.  We always hate to say goodbye.  Our next trip can't come soon enough.

Another Cabin Getaway

We got up to the cabin later then we had hoped Friday night.  But luckily everyone else showed up around the same time.  We unloaded our stuff and got settled in.  Just as we were about to sit down and relax, the power went out.  As the kids were screaming (and a few of the adults) we searched for flashlights.  We got the best light from our phones.  Some one pulled out their iPad and turned on a movie for the kids.  That kept them very entertained.  Luckily the power wasn't off too long.
The next day was quite productive although it was rainy and muddy.  But we pulled out the 4 wheeler, and Kevin and Das pulled out the motor bikes.
The kids had a great time finding bones all around the cabin.

Das and Kevin were gone about 45 minutes on the bikes and decided it was too wet to continue.  Funny thing is it rained the hardest while they were out.  The rest of the trip was perfect weather.
Tristan and Ashton did a really great job on the four wheelers riding around the cabin.  We spent the rest of the day eating, relaxing, more 4 wheeler rides, and playing games.

Cabin!

Growing up every year over the 4th we would attend the Oakley Rodeo.  And many of my siblings have kept the tradition.  Das and I are going to start taking the boys each year.

Rodeo or not, the cabin is the place to be during the 4th of July weekend.
So Das and I headed up for the day on Saturday.  It was a little rainy, but the boys were still able to go for a few four wheeler rides.

After dinner, everyone got their rodeo gear on to head out.
Jordan is a huge Johnny Cash fan like Das.  He insists on calling Dallon-Little Johnny Cash.  Cracks me up.
I think I need to buy Das a cowboy hat.  I think he looks sexy.

This is Tristan pouting cuz he wanted to go to the rodeo.  So sad.  Next year buddy, I promise.  We love spending time with everyone at the cabin.  So thankful for my parents who share it with us.  I have so many memories growing up at the cabin and looking forward to my boys making many memories of their own up there.

Let Freedom Ring!

We had a very chill 4th of July.  Das had purchased some fireworks and the kids started early in the evening lighting them off with the neighbor kids.

And after we grilled some burgers and hot dogs, we headed outside for the big guns.

I love living in a culdesac with such wonderful neighbors.

Logan loves to be out front.  And the neighbor kids are all so cute with him.

After fireworks, Das and I headed inside while Tristan and Ashton continued to terrorize the neighborhood.

I feel so blessed to live in such a wonderful country and to raise my beautiful boys here.  Little Dallon did so well during the fireworks.  I can't believe he is 3 weeks already.

We are so grateful for those who sacrifice their lives for us so that we may be free.  I am proud to be and American!

Summer Fun!

Last weekend Kevin and Leesa invited us over for a BBQ.  Das smoked some salmon to take over that was delicious.  Everyone brought yummy stuff.  The kids had a blast in their backyard chasing the chickens.  Logan was walking around talking to them and petting them.  Ellie got brave and kept picking them up.  And they even sent us home with some eggs.

The kids played really well together while us adults chatted.  We had a really great time.  Thanks for having us!
